The Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) supports Lindenwood University's commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion by providing university needs-based financial aid to male students of color who enroll in a Teacher Education program at the College of Education & Human Services at Lindenwood University. All prospective undergraduate and graduate students are invited to apply for the following benefits:
- Partial financial assistance available
- Assistance completing the TEACH Grant application (up to $4,000 a year).
- Assistance with textbook purchases provided.
- Participants are encouraged to return to their home school district for practicum courses and student teaching.
- Receive preferential scheduling.
- Academic support, coaching, and mentoring.
- Certification test preparation.
Applications will be evaluated by members of the Males of Color as Classroom Educators program. Awards are contingent upon official admission to the College of Education & Human Services through the completion of the institutional process available at up5e.indiandonkey.com/admissions.
